We've harvested a fair number of frames using the shake and brush method. But during the end-of-season harvest, we like to expend less effort and desturb fewer bees when clearing our supers. So we insert these boards under the supers we want to harvest, come back the next day and the supers have been emptied of bees. The bees move down through the maze, and can't figure out how to move back up.
